Gold Rush

Gold Rush

Goal: hit the Bull, activate Gold Rush, and use the two remaining darts to score as many points as possible on the indicated sector.

The game consists of 12 rounds. Each round follows the same format: the first dart always targets the Bull, while the next two target the currently indicated sector.

The sectors are:

20 → 19 → 18 → 17 → 16 → 15

After playing through all six sectors, the sequence is repeated a second time.

First dart – Bull:

  • Single Bull = 25 points,
  • Double Bull = 50 points.

Hitting the Bull activates Gold Rush for the two remaining darts in that round.

Scoring during Gold Rush:

  • Single = 1 pt + 10 bonus = 11 points,
  • Double = 2 pts + 10 bonus = 12 points,
  • Treble = 3 pts + 10 bonus = 13 points.

A +10 point bonus is awarded for every successful hit on the currently indicated sector after the Bull has been hit.

If the first dart misses the Bull, Gold Rush is not activated. The two remaining darts can still score points on the required sector, but without the additional bonus:

  • Single = 1 point,
  • Double = 2 points,
  • Treble = 3 points.

Examples:

  • Single Bull + T20 + D20 = 25 + 13 + 12 = 50 pts,
  • Double Bull + T20 + T20 = 50 + 13 + 13 = 76 pts,
  • MISS + T20 + D20 = 0 + 3 + 2 = 5 pts.

Gold Rush rewards accuracy on the Bull and the ability to immediately move your aim to the scoring sector. Hitting the Bull opens the opportunity to score a very large number of points, but you still need to make the most of the two remaining darts.

The game ends after all 12 rounds have been played. The maximum score requires consistently hitting Double Bull followed by two Trebles in every activated Gold Rush.
