Stronghold

Stronghold

Goal: capture four Strongholds by progressing through increasingly difficult stages and maintaining your accuracy throughout each three-round block.

The game consists of 12 rounds of 3 darts, divided into 4 Strongholds. Each Stronghold covers three consecutive sectors.

Hit scoring:

  • Single = 1 point,
  • Double = 2 points,
  • Treble = 3 points.

The four Strongholds are:

  • Stronghold 1: 20 → 19 → 18,
  • Stronghold 2: 17 → 16 → 15,
  • Stronghold 3: 20 → 18 → 16,
  • Stronghold 4: 19 → 17 → 15.

In each round, you have 3 darts at the indicated sector. A Single, Double or Treble of that sector counts as a successful hit.

Each Stronghold consists of three stages with increasing requirements:

  • Stage 1: hit the sector at least 1 time,
  • Stage 2: hit the sector at least 2 times,
  • Stage 3: hit the sector with all 3 darts.

Each completed stage increases your Chain. To fully capture a Stronghold, you must complete all three stages in that block.

Fully capturing a Stronghold awards an additional +10 points.

If you fail to meet the requirement of any stage, you still play the remaining rounds and keep the points you have already earned, but you can no longer receive the bonus for the current Stronghold.

At the start of the next Stronghold, the Chain is reset and you begin building it again from the first stage.

Stronghold trains consistency, handling increasing pressure and maintaining accuracy as the requirements become more demanding. The first stage still allows room for error, while the final stage requires a perfect 3-out-of-3 round.

The game ends after all 4 Strongholds have been played, for a total of 12 rounds. The maximum score is 148 points.
