Sudden Death

Sudden Death

Goal: survive a series of increasingly demanding challenges and reach the end of the training without losing all your lives.

The game consists of up to 12 rounds of 3 darts. You start with 3 Lives, and the number of successful hits in each round determines whether you keep, lose, or recover a life.

Lives System:

  • 0 successful hits = immediate Game Over,
  • 1 successful hit = -1 Life,
  • 2 successful hits = no change,
  • 3 successful hits = +1 Life, up to a maximum of 3.

If you already have 3 Lives, a perfect 3/3 round does not increase your total beyond the maximum.

Scoring:

  • Single = 1 point,
  • Double = 2 points,
  • Treble = 3 points,
  • Single Bull = 1 point,
  • Double Bull = 2 points.

The first rounds test consistency on the main sectors:

20 → 19 → 18 → 17

Then comes the first precision challenge:

D20 → D20 → D20

In this round, only an exact hit on D20 counts. A Single or Treble 20 does not count as a successful hit.

You then return to sectors 16 and 15, followed by another demanding round:

T20 → T20 → T20

Next, you play sector 14 and move on to:

D16 → D16 → D16

Before the finale, you get 3 darts at the Bull, while the final round is played on sector 20 again.

Sudden Death rewards not only high scoring, but above all consistency. Two successful hits are enough to keep your current number of Lives, a perfect 3/3 allows you to recover a previously lost Life, while a round with no successful hits results in an immediate Game Over.

If your number of Lives drops to 0, you immediately get Game Over. If you survive all 12 rounds, you complete the game.
