Momentum

Momentum

Goal: build Momentum by maintaining or improving your score on the same sector while also hitting Trebles.

The game consists of 12 rounds of 3 darts, divided into 4 blocks. Each block contains three consecutive rounds played on the same sector.

Hit scoring:

  • Single = 1 point,
  • Double = 2 points,
  • Treble = 3 points.

The blocks are arranged as follows:

  • 20 → 20 → 20,
  • 19 → 19 → 19,
  • 18 → 18 → 18,
  • 17 → 17 → 17.

In each block, the first round establishes the base score. Each following round is compared directly with the previous visit to the same sector.

To maintain Momentum and earn the bonus, you must meet two conditions at the same time:

  • score equal to or higher than in the previous round,
  • hit at least one Treble in the current round.

If both conditions are met:

  • the second round of the block awards an additional +3 points,
  • the third round of the block awards an additional +5 points.

Only the base score from your hits is used when comparing one round with the next. The Momentum bonus does not increase the reference score for the following visit.

If you maintain or improve your score but do not hit a Treble, no bonus is awarded. The same applies if your score is lower than in the previous round.

After completing the three rounds and moving to the next sector, Momentum starts over. The first round of the new block establishes the new base score.

Momentum trains consistency, maintaining a high level across consecutive visits and Treble accuracy under increasing pressure. A good score alone is not enough – to earn the bonus, you must also hit at least one Treble.

The game ends after all 4 blocks have been played, for a total of 12 rounds. The maximum score is 140 points.
